1st Christmas

Claire tried pumpkin pie and ham, followed around her big cousin Miranda, hung with Auntie Anne and Silvia, jumped with Auntie Leanne, giggled for Uncle Eric, ripped open paper, toted a green bow and did everything in her power to avoid having to nap....

Superstar..or trouble?

So this morning at about 6 am 10 month old Claire called her Grandma Swanson on the phone...without anyone else around. OMG! ;o) How are we going to keep up with this kid?

Walking! multitasking already...

Another big week

Claire is getting ready to impress her Swanson family! She started walking Monday and loves to practive, sometimes falling on her face and stressing out mom and dad. A third tooth popped up on her lower jaw, and an upper tooth is finally peaking out. Climbing the furniture is fun and jumping on the couch. Getting down is trickier though...

She met Santa and was less than impressed...so we

consoled her with sushi-where our adventurous little eater tried miso soup, tofu and avocado. YUM!

Claire is walking!

Just shy of 10 months old Claire started walking across the living room today! EEK!

9 1/2 months, such a big girl!

9 months old

Claire had her 9 month dr visit-29 in long (90%), 21 lbs (85%) so she's a big girl! She is SO close to walking, and just doesn't miss anything. She's still a social butterfly-all attention is good attention-she laughs when we tell her no...:O) LOVE THIS KID!!!!!!

where are those dang trick or treaters?

We only had 3 kids in one group all night! Is trick or treating door to door at an end? Claire didn't get to see any kids dressed up. With all her activity bedtime has moved up to 6 or 6:30 pm-she gets wiped out!

8 1/2 months old

Nothing can stop Claire now! She is all over the house, pulls herself up on anything she can get a hold of, still taste tests everything that fits, and she is the crawling queen. She is learning "no", and sometimes ignoring it...this is an amazing age!

Maw maw taught Claire to wave "bye bye" and clap-shes a clapping fool! She's working on snapping her fingers, and walking from piece of furniture to piece of furniture. Standing like a rock star-but still not interested in crawling! Wants a dog.....
